Choice to Flourish
While I was waiting for God to grow our family, I allowed envy and jealousy to creep into my heart. It was so hard to be happy for my friends that were pregnant. Again. Especially when they would complain about their pregnancy and I would try to be the supportive friend. But, honestly? I was mostly annoyed. Maybe you know how I feel?
WASH AND BE CLEAN: A look at healing and dysfunctional expectations
In 2 Kings 5 there was a very well respected army commander and might warrior named Naaman. But he had the horrendous disease leprosy. He had an opportunity to meet Elisha the prophet, and Elisha told him to go wash in the Jordan 7 tines. You know what Naaman did? He lost his temper and said “I thought he’d personally come out and meet me, call on the name of GOD, wave his hand over me..."
These are for those who seek and fear the Lord, for those who love His Word and commit their way to Him. When you're struggling with infertility, emotions can get the best of you. I truthfully set out to make a tiny list to share on one of my videos to encourage and bring hope. Well, I got started and the list grew and grew. Then, I thought, ok, I'll stop at 30. I ended up including 20 more chapters!
To kick off this little series on overcoming fear... I've put together a list of amazing scriptures to stand on when you're struggling with fear, worry, and anxiety. If you know me, you know there's no need for a long blog post! Simply read God's Word and be encouraged!
This week, we've got 9 of our favorite sermons on fear. These sermons range from Steven Furtick to Joyce Meyer and Priscilla Shirer, and so many other amazing men and women of God. We hope this helps, and we're so proud of you for proactively fighting whatever fear you're struggling with!
Today, I want to share some of the things the Lord has been showing me lately as I've been going to Him in prayer and researching for this series! If you sneak a scroll... don't freak out! It's long, I know. But it's long because I've included whole CHAPTERS from His Word! Feel free to use this in your quiet time the next few days and meditate on these scriptures!
I'm so stinking excited to share what I've recently learned about victory over fear. This is from the Bill Johnson sermon from the post 9 Sermons to Help Overcome Fear, where he teaches us what happens when we have victory over fear! This rocked my world. Seriously.
"Words kill, words give life. They're either poison or fruit- you choose." Proverbs 18:21 What are you confessing over your life, situation, family, and fertility? Are your words killing or giving life?? Are they poison or fruit?? Do you call yourself "infertile?" Do you say you are dealing with "infertility?" If so, how often?
We're talking about choosing joy, what that looks like, and that it's OKAY to be sad! It's ok to be happy for them and sad for you. Just because you're sad for a day, doesn't mean you're not choosing joy in your season. But what does choosing joy look like?

I will never forget the day I saw Lauren post about this amazing journaling bible called, The Message Canvas Bible, by Eugene H. Peterson. Immediately I began to feel a stir in my heart that I needed to invest in one of these bibles...
This all started from a silly game of "Would you rather" that we played at my ladies small group yesterday. You know, questions like "Would you rather go about your day naked or fall asleep for a year?" We really got to know each other this week. And because of that this game, I've been thinking a lot about choices. Then this-
“But Moses again pleaded, 'Lord, please! Send anyone else.'” Exodus 4:13 NLT
Oh my! So much to think on here!! How often do we wish God would call, appoint, or send someone else?? How often do we wish He would give us a different battle to fight, a different dream to fulfill, a different group of people to lead. How often do we tell God that someone else could do this better??
Ok, so all I have time to do right now is quickly post up the scripture and the 3 points, but please watch the video (below) if this is something you need to hear right now. We discuss some cool stuff about acting like a princess. You can skip ahead to about 3:40 on the video if you want to skip introductions, etc. Love you guys!!
